今日はワイルドストロベリーを刺繍しました。

ワイルドストロベリーはこんなハーブです。

- 花言葉は「尊重と愛情」「幸福な家庭」「無邪気」。幸せを呼ぶハーブとして、縁起の良い植物

- 常緑多年草のハーブの一種で、バラ科オランダイチゴ属

- 花色は白で、春～初夏に咲く

- 学名「Fragaria（フラガリア）」は、ラテン語の「fargare（薫る）」が語源となり、芳香を放つ果実にちなむ

- 香りが良く果実はとても小さい。甘く酸味はほとんどない。果実は生食やジャムなど、葉はハーブティーに利用されるが、微量に毒素が含まれている為、必ず乾燥させてから使用する

- とても生命力が強く、初心者の方でも育てやすい。病害虫にも強く、夏の暑さや冬の寒さにも強い。

- 原産地はヨーロッパ北部、北アメリカ。日本では北海道で野生化。

- 日光、水はけのよさを好む。

- 適切に管理をすれば夏越し・冬越しできる。

- 実に水をかけると腐ることがある。地植えにした場合、根づいてしまえばほとんど水やりや肥料は不要。

For today's embroidery, I stitched a wild strawberry. 

What is a wild strawberry? 

- The flower message is "Respect and Love", "Happy family" and "Innocent". Known as a herb that brings happiness and good luck. 

- A type of evergreen perennial herb and belongs to Rosaceae Fragaria ananassa. 

- The flowers are white and bloom from spring to early summer. 

- A botanical name "Fragaria" derives from "fargare" in Latin meaning scent and is named after a fragrant fruit. 

- Has a great scent and fruits are very small, sweet, and not sour. The fruits can be eaten fresh or used for making jelly, and the leaves are used for making herbal tea. It has slight toxins so always dry them before use. 

- Vigorous and easy to grow for beginners. Resistant for pest, heat, and cold. 

- Originates in Northern Europe and North America. In Japan, it became wild in Hokkaido. 

- Prefers sunlight and well water drainage. 

- It can oversummer and overwinter when properly maintained. 

- It may rotten when fruits are watered. When planted on the ground and rooted, watering and fertilizing are not needed.
