花の咲いた後に六角状の萼の部分が発達して果実を包み袋状になり、熟すとオレンジ色になります。根は鎮咳・利尿薬として利用され、食用ではワイン醸造にも使われます。花言葉は「自然美」

After the flower blooms, the hexagonal cocoon develops and wraps the fruit into a bag which turns orange when ripe. The roots are used as an antitussive and diuretic and are also used for winemaking. The flower message is "natural beauty".
