ハイビスカス 

一日だけ咲いてその日のうちに枯れてしまう一日花です。ハワイの州花でもあり、装飾品のレイや髪飾りに用いられます。髪にさすときには、未婚者は右に、既婚者は左につけられるそうです。沖縄南部では死人の後生の幸福を願って墓地に植栽する習慣があるそうです。花言葉は「繊細な美」

Hibiscus

It blooms and withers within a day. Hibiscus is a state flower of Hawaii and is used for decorative lei and hair decoration. When used as a hair decoration, singles put it on the right and married on the left. In southern Okinawa, it is traditionally planted in the cemetery in respect for the happiness of the deceased after death. The flower message is "delicate beauty".
