ネムノキ 

夜になるとゆっくりと葉を閉じることから「眠りの木（ねむりのき）」が転訛してネムノキになったといわれます。害虫駆除、生薬、鎮痛、家畜の飼料などにも利用され、塩害に強い特性から、日本では古くから海岸線の防風林として利用されています。精神安定や不眠解消の効果があり、樹皮にはタンニンが含有され、打撲傷に効能があります。淡紅色のおしべが長く美しく、桃のように甘い香りがします。花言葉は「歓喜」

Pink siris

The name “sleeping trees” derived from its leave which slowly closes at night. It is used for pest control, herbal medicine, pain killer, animal feed and so on and with its feature of resistant to salt damage it has been used as a shoreline windbreak forest in Japan. It is effective for mental stability and relief of insomnia and the bark contains tannins which is effective in bruising. Beautiful long pale pink stamen has a peachlike scent. The flower message is "joy".
