ポーチュラカ Common purslane

夏期に白や黄、桃色、薄紅色などの多彩な花を枝先に咲かせます。多肉植物のため高温と乾燥に強く、多湿や寒さには強くありません。丈夫で手のかからない園芸植物で、生で加熱して食用も可能です。スープにすると独特のぬめりがあり、実も生で食用にしたり、パンに混ぜたりして使います。花言葉は「無邪気」

Common purslane

There are variety of colors such as white, yellow, pink and light pink which would bloom on top branches in summer. It is a succulent plant so it is resistant to high temperatures and dryness but weak in humidity and cold. It is also a strong, hand-free gardening plant and edible that can be cooked raw. The soup has a unique slimy texture, berry can be cooked raw and be mixed in with bread. The flower message is "innocent".
