イワヒバ Selaginella

イワヒバ 

枝葉がヒノキに似ていて細くて分枝した茎に鱗片状の小さな葉を密生させます。乾燥すると枝全体が内側に巻き込むように丸まり、雨などで水分が十分に補給されると、数日の間に枝をのばして輪生状に広がるため復活草とも言われます。花言葉は「負けない心」

Branches and leaves resemble cypress and dense flaky small leaves grow on thin and branched stems. When dried, the whole branch will curl up inward and when it is sufficiently replenished with rain it will extend into a ring shape within a few days which is why it is called revived grass. The flower message is “never give up”.
