Good morning! Today is December 28, 2019, it is going to be cold but sunny day here in Nagoya, Japan. The year 2019 is coming to an end and my little garden is filled with herbs and vegetables, most of them waiting for the warm spring.

葉が厚くつやがあります。岩や石の間に生えて日陰でもよく育ち、寒い時期に花を咲かせます。花言葉は「謙譲」

Japanese silver leaf

It has thick shiny leaves, grows well in the shade around rocks and the flower blooms even in cold temperature. The flower message is "humbleness".
