2020.01.24 Friday～サフラン Saffron crocus

Good morning! Today is January 24, 2020, it is going to be cloudy day here in Nagoya, Japan. It rained almost all day yesterday so my plants are given plenty of water. I can't wait to see them on the weekend.

サフラン

長く糸状に伸びるめしべは独特の香りを持ち、水に溶かすと鮮やかな黄色になります。薬用やスパイスとしても用いられています。花言葉は「歓喜」

Saffron crocus

Long thread like pistil has a unique scent which changes its color to bright yellow when it is soaked in water. It is used as medicine and spice. The flower message is "Joy".
