2020.05.12 Tuesday～アカンサス Acanthus

Good morning! Today is May 12, 2020, it is going to be another beautiful sunny day here in Nagoya, Japan. I headed to my little garden this morning and harvested some English lavender which are in full bloom. They smell wonderful and also look so cute.

アカンサス 

光沢のある大きな葉を広げる宿根草で夏になると紫色の萼と白い花を咲かせます。萼には鋭いトゲがあります。

Acanthus

It is a jaundice root that spreads big shiny leaves. In summer, it blooms white flowers on its purple calix which has needle on its surface.
