Fagara ～ サンショウ

今日はサンショウを刺繍しました。

Today's embroidery is Fagara.

● 芳香のある葉とピリッとした辛味の果実

　The Fagara has scented leaves and spicy fruits.

●学名：

　Scientific name: Zanthoxylum piperitum

●ミカン科サンショウ属 

　Rutaceaed Zanthoxylum

●多年草、落葉低木、雄雌異株、耐寒性

　Perennial, deciduous shrub, male and female strains, cold-tolerant

●和名：サンショウ

　Japanese name: Sansho

●原産地： 日本、韓国、中国

　Native to Japan, Korea, China

 ●花言葉：充実

 　Language of flower: repletion

 ●主な効能：果皮は健胃作用、消化促進、害虫駆除、種子は利尿作用、体を温める, 足湯にサンショウを入れると水虫効果がある

  　Efficacy: Fruit skin for stomachic property, help digestion, and pest control. Seeds for diuretic effect, warms the body, put Fagara in foot bath works for athletic foot.

 ●植え方・増やし方：種子、挿し木、株分け

 　How to grow and propagate: seeds, cutting, division

 ●主な用途：料理、芽や若葉、花蕾、未熟な果実は生で薬味に、完熟直前の果実の皮を干して粉にして香辛料に。

 　Usage: For the dishes. Shoots, young leaves, flowers and buds, immature fruits are used raw for seasoning, right before full matured fruit skin is dried and ground to use as spices
